You’ve spent week end and week out attending rehearsals and yet you do not know how to play the song right. What do you think they gave you the CD for in the first place. This is one of the most annoying things I can think of. Musicians must take some initiative to prepare themselves to play the songs for the choir, or praise and worship service through actual practice time dedicated to the material. Believe it or not you will find that your skills will develop when you spend time listening and learning. There is nothing worst than a bad chord inthe middle of a song……
I agree completely. It drives me nuts to know people haven’t prepared adequately, and sometimes, it makes me not want to put in the effort as well.
You have to remember, do it all for GOD’s glory, even if others around you aren’t interested in giving it their best.
